Ok im trying to download a certain program (VLC Media Player) and ive downloaded it from numerous sites to see if it was a problem with that particular site's download's but it still wont work. I can download the program fine but then when I TRY to install it an error message come's up saying:

The installer you are trying to use is corrup or incomplete.
This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus.
You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy.
It may be possible to skip this step by using the /NCRC command line SWITCH(NOT RECOMMENDED).

Now this message also come's up when im trying to install other basic or random program's like Window's Media Player, RealPlayer or AIM. Why cant I install any of these??? It has become a real problem. Ive even turned off my firewall and Spyware program's to see if that was the problem but it didnt work.dc157_1...... You havent mentioned which O/S your using .... Are you certain your pc is not infected with a virus or trojan ?

I just D/L it as a test from several differant sites and it D/L and installed fine ......

It's been known to become corrupt for some reason.
