Answer» Have Microsoft Windows Vista and IE8 -
when i GO in internet options, general tab, eliminate all - to eliminate records of my IE activity.. I still find a record of the visited places on the browser bar http - then when I delete each http noted, some items disappears for good, CERTAIN ones come back even after individual deletion.
After applying the "option/delete all" as I park in the current web page I would expect to see only the current web page http address - why do I see instead a FULL chronology of sites I did delete before and of sites I did not even visit, both items seemingly beyond deletion?
How do I get a clean browser slate?
Thank you for your help. PS - the undeletable chronology remains also after running CCleaner program. That actually may be auto-complete in the browser bar...not History.
It can be turned off...but i have no idea how as i haven't seen IE in a loooong tome... Internet Options - Content - SettingsFound this post after seeing your e-mail about not being ABLE to post on the forums, looks like you figured that. I'd also try pressing CTRL+SHIFT+DEL, make sure everything is checked and then click delete. That should clear everything.
