Answer» If you buy a chinese game, the game will be in Chinese. Why spend more money on getting a larger disc or more than on discs to fit both English and German setups? Where's the logic in that, right? Actually, a lot of games include all of the files on the discs, whether they're meant to be changed or not. For example, the Thai versions of both Battlefield 2 and The Sims 2, which come completely in Thai with no option to change the language through setup or option, can be forced to install in English instead. For Sims 2, copy all of the files from the first disc to your hard drive. In the Autorun folder, edit autorun.cfg. In the list of languages there, simply change the current setting from 1 to 0 and the language you want from 0 to 1. Save it, run the installer, and the game will install in that language. UTF-8 is the 8-bit form of Unicode. Save your document in UTF-8 if you are using older transmission media that support only 8 bits of significant data within individual bytes. COMMAND & Conquer 3, as far as I know, only includes language files specific to the local version (for example, the Thai version only includes the Thai files). There's no way to change this one that I've found. |
