Answer» OK im running windows XP and im havin some problems with my internet.Everytime i go to certain websites i click on a link on the site and it closes out of internet explorer altogether and it RETURNS me to my desktop.The strange thing is that it doesnt even give me an error message or anything,just closes out like i would do myself. HijackThis log requested.i had done all of the scans and stuff possible and it is STILL doin the same thing.Use Mozilla Firefox as a browser.Put up one of the offending sites here.www.runescape.com (this one is an online game) i click playgame/low detail/then i select a world to play on then it closes out right after i click.
i used all browsers i can think of and none worked any differentSite ok....try this type it in the run box rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance chose the repair option.......and download spysweeper........loads of worms/trojans around !!!in put that in and nothing came up.Reboot pc and hold down the f8 key on bootup and chose the last goood config from the options that are displayed....ok.ok i did....And...?it didnt change neithingCheck cookie options.....firewall settings.......popup killers /ad banners and other programs like that......
