Solve : Command and conquer generals?

Answer»

Ive got the command and conquer generals game with the Zero hour expansion pack, Ive not played it for a while and when i came to reinstall it after formatting my PC the disk has a scratch in it.

Is there anyway i can find the

Data1.cab
Language.cab

FILES anywhere so then i can copy the rest of the files from the CD to my HDD put the two working .cab files i need and install it from there.

would this work? and do you know where i can find these files?

cheersContact the company and see if they will send you a working disc. Do you have proof of purchase available?

There are no legal downloads for this.

Dont have the reciept bought it from PC World a while back,

do these things that you can get to fix faulty CDs work?Sometimes you get lucky. It couldn't make it any worse could it?if you have the box and the manual , EA will be  Happy to sent you a new copy, details for doing this are printed on the last page of the cover.

I Own All CnC Games, and if worst came to worst i could send you an Image, but you would have to prove to me that you owned the Game,I lost my Zero Hour CD1.
Emailed EA and told them the problem and i didnt even get a responce. Quote

You would have if the franchise was still run by Westwood.  EA shows blatent disreguard for Zero Hour tbh.  They havent patched the game in over 2 years and the end result is MEGA online hacking of the game.  i bought C&C the first decade, havent even beaten one of the games yet and have never been online with them.(im scared) I like the single player story line in all of the C&C series.

Unfortunately, C&C has none so it's a crappy game. Strategy games online are worthless if you ask me.Actually in the publics eyes and EA's eyes Generals and Zero Hour was a failure because it was only aimed at online quality and lacked greatly in the single player aspect.  You would see that if you go online they do indeed have some great ladders as well as alot of people playing clan wars.  But the single player does indeed suck for the two games.  EA says Command and Conquer 3 which will be out in early Feb will get back into the old style of the franchise IE AWESOME single player entertainment.A forum full of newbie cheaters! HAHA!what about starcraft online? thats one sweet online strategy game!I don't see the point in building an entire base just to have it destroyed again. But some people actually make a sport out of it..

I like the custom made mini games in Starcraft, like Matrix and turret defense. Quote

Actually its really like a game of chess.  A typical online zero hour game will be a 3v3 usually arranged where one person on each team is the usa airforce general and on each side of him are two ground armies one of which is usually gla which is kind of meant to be a middle eastern style army or china.  There is actually about 9 armies to choose from when you play on zero hour online.  Unlike most rts games where whoever spams the most wins zero hour is completely based on strats and IDEAS.  I would recommend the game to anyone.I thought the single player in C&C Generals and Zero Hour was very good.

The online was good too, but thats only because i bought it before i realised that u dont have to buy games. I would have been completely happy with the single player alone.

But yeh, Weswood, who created Red Alert 2 are the best. Nothing beats Red Alert 2.
