Solve : Computer will not load certain websites?

Answer»

Hi guys,

I've been having drama lately with my pc. It refuses to load certain sites that load fine on other computers on the network. I have done a reformat and reinstalled Windows as I thought this would fix the problem but the problem continues to happen.

The two sites it happens to the most are www.jamplay.com and the speed test WEBSITE. I can load them fine on my laptop and ipad which connect wirelessly to the same network but they wont load on my pc.

If anyone can HELP that would be great as its getting quite annoying.

Cheers,

What would that have to do with this particular issue?Quote from: Allan on December 02, 2010, 05:52:27 AM

I think it's called troubleshooting. The question is not relevant to the problem. And I was not rude to you - I expect you to show the same courtesy. Many times the issue that people experience in not being able to load certain websites properly are the result of disabled plugins or not having the plugins installed at all. Do you have Javascript enabled in your web browser? Also do you have Java and Adobe Flash installed on your COMPUTER (current versions of each program)? Most "speed tester" websites rely on Flash or Java as an interface to perform their tests. If the site requires the PLUGIN and it is not installed the website will not function properly.Quote from: Allan on December 04, 2010, 03:23:47 PM

I apologize Allan, I was having an off day and wasn't really thinking when I posted the reply. I thought it was funny at first until rereading it. Not an excuse, just an apology.Quote from: drrixo on November 27, 2010, 09:50:26 PM

Has this been resolved? If not, what happens when you try to visit these sites? I see www.jamplay.com uses Flash. Do you have the Flash add-on for your browser installed?
