Solve : Customizing IE right-click menu? |
|
Answer» I need an application and I think you can help me. I'm using windows xp and internet explorer and I want to add some functions to my right-click menu. The functions are "copy as bold", "copy as italic", "copy as quote" ETC. I mean, I want to MAKE the selected text bold or italic or quote, only with one click and then paste it in my blog posts, comments etc. as styled this way. In other words I want an automatic function which adds the desired html tags to may copied text. I searhed the web to find such a program but I couldn't find. Can you help me please? Thanks You could program AutoHotKey to do something like this, using keyboard/mouse commands. See the software FAQ for a link (check my signature).I'm AFRAID I'm not soo good at these complex applications. I wish I could find a software that would add these functions only with installation or with some SIMPLE operations. I looked at the pages you mentioned but it seems a bit complex for me. Thank you Mr. Pomeroy. You're welcome, and you're right AHK is rather tricksy. I'm afraid that I don't know exactly how to do what you require, otherwise. Perhaps someone ELSE will - possibly a trip to the programming forum would result in an answer?I wouldn't bother with Internet Explorer, I'm sure there's a Firefox extension out there that allows you to customize the right click menu. |
