Your computer startup time depends on it. The more icons, the slower start. As for real time slowness, it depends on how many startups (background programs) you have.Try to group your icons into folders. For instance, I have desktop folders named: Utilities, Multimedia, Security, Maintenance, etc. I have SINGLE icons only for programs, which I use very often.Thanks for the tip Broni. Made things much easier to look at & a bit FASTER too.RocketDock is a nice utility to have as well for this type of thing... Although, by sounds of it you have/had quite a few shortcuts on your desktop so this would then be CLUTTERED, ha.You're WELCOME |
