Answer» Im new to this whole forum thing so I guess I just ASK a question. I keep getting the message about MS-DOS, so I came to this site earlier and got the info about the command prompt from sidewinder, it was going well until I hit enter and the computer then said "no distination" what does that mean? It would help to know the exact message. You shouldn't need to do anything with command prompt to load that game. How did you come to that conclusion? Some details would be helpful. Can you give us a recap on what the problem is and what you were told to do about it?My problem is that my computer wont let me load the sims because it keeps saying "MS-DOS read error" my computer can't read it or something. I don't know. I just WANT to play my game?LOL This is the exact message my computer pops up: c:\windows\system32\autoexec.NT. Ths system file is not suitable for runnin MS-DOS and Microsoft applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application. So what do you think I should do? Is this fixable?or am i fighting a battle I just wont win?Too easy if we only knew what your operating system was For Windows2000 Open a command prompt, type the following & hit enter. copy c:\winnt\repair\autoexec.nt c:\winnt\system32 For XP Open a command prompt, type the following & hit enter. copy c:\windows\repair\autoexec.nt c:\windows\system32 |
