Solve : Diablo2 and LOD - saved characters?

1.	Solve : Diablo2 and LOD - saved characters?
Answer» I had to reinstall XP thus deleting my diablo directory. I saved the Savegame directory on my characters (to another HD), but now that i cut and PASTE them in to the new D2 directory, it can't find my characters in the game! Am I doing something wrong here?That is the right proceedure, i think you did not copy all the files that is needed to be supported as a save files Anyway all game file should only have one save file. But that is WIERD that it did not workare u sure u copied the file to the right directory?? cause i had to UNINSTALL a game and when i reinstalled it, i pasted the save file to the wrong directory...STUPID mistake. I got it working. It turned out that I had totally forgotten about updating to the newest version, 1.11. Thanks for the replies
