Answer» Hi folks ,
long time, no post...
I was wondering if I have any pci express slots in my rig that I bought in March 2007 in a supermarket. I opened it and had a look but cant tell ONE thing from the other: there's two slots, one looks pci-ish, it's blue, lol.
I googled up this TERMINAL command: lspci and used it. It came up with the info that you can see attacehd to this post.
Please have look if you find the time.
Cheers!
[year+ old attachment deleted by admin]It looks like you do; why don't you tell us the brand and model? The computer is a Hyrican PCK01978, at least thats what it says on the sicker on the back. And an ASUS MOTHERBOARD.
Please see attachments.
attachment2: it lists seven of these entries !
[year+ old attachment deleted by admin]Google is your friend. You have one PCI Express x16 slot and one PCI Express x 1 slot. There is no standard colour code for PCI Express slots but in fact on many boards they are black like the photo of your motherboard model (you say it is blue?).

By the way one of my favourite singers is called SANDRA. She was with Michael Cretu but not any more. Gracias amiguete! (Had a look at your profile, but dont seem to be able to put spanish accents with ASCII codes in here, could this be ?)
yes, Sandra, remember her, too. Long, long time ago .

El salón del joven que mató a 12 personas en un cine de EE.UU. está rodeado de cables conectados a un líquido desconocido. I remember her song Maria Magdalena from 1985.
Can you tell why the lshw command lists all these "PCI Bridge" things? What do those mean?
[year+ old attachment deleted by admin]They are part of the motherboard; part of the 'chipset'.
