When you play games at 23" flat widescreen lcd. Minimized the games into the windows...does it help by SPEEDING faster or no? Less lag?if its minimized no matter what program it is it will run fasterQuote from: silv3r on November 12, 2007, 06:30:09 PM

im going to need some clarification on that. i tried, but i cant translate it.Lag, or latency, is controlled by your connection. If your connection is slow, minimizing won't change that.

However, if your issue is hardware related (slow, choppy gameplay) then yes, minimizing will most likely speed it up. However, you wouldn't be able to see what you're doing, so what would the point be?You should note that if you run the game, pretty much everything else on your computer will either be very slow or take ages to load because the game would PROBABLY using80 to 100% CPU Usage.Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on November 22, 2007, 04:35:09 AM
You should note that if you run the game, pretty much everything else on your computer will either be very slow or take ages to load because the game would probably using80 to 100% CPU Usage.

Running, most game don't take more than about 30-40% CPU usage. Minimized, this amount is even less, dropping to 5% or less. If you're running at 80-100% on a game, you probably don't meet the system requirements for it and can't complain that it runs slow.Quote from: quaxo on November 22, 2007, 06:42:16 AM

Ok, we're not thinking of the same game.

If I play Halo on this laptop (which meets the requirements very well) and minimize the game, the computer performance is greatly impacted.
Older games won't have this same effect but I am pretty sure if you're running a game made in the last few years, the computer performance will not go down to 5%.
*cough* Crysis *cough*haha Crysis is what I just tested that with.

I just got it a few days ago.I hate you all. I get at least 15% CPU usage just from TASK manager....

I can run Quake 2 at 1024x768 at like 30fps which works for me....BC_Programmer please note the date of the last post in the thread before you post. you just bumped a one month old thread.
