Answer» I am transcriptionist. One of the companies I work for has a first come, first serve BASIS policy. They post audio files on a soundpage, send out an e-mail and then it’s up to each transcriptionist to scramble to enter this username/password protected site.
Times are lean, as is the amount of work coming in. I have a food timer that reminds to check the soundpage every 3 minutes, and have even set it to remind me every 90 seconds to check the soundpage in HOPES of beating the e-mail that gets sent out and I still miss the audio files being posted.
I was wondering is there a program out there that would be able to automatically enter and exit the soundpage on a continuous basis and sound an alarm when audio files post? If this program exists, may I please have the name of it? Thanks for your HELP. Qwertylife Just set your email app to play a sound when new mail arrives...The problem is that e-mail is not always reliable.
How do you access this sound page?Yes, thank you about the e-mail notifier, it's on and it tells me the sender of the e-mail, unfortunately, that's not enough.
The soundpage has a box for a username and password, which I all ready have stored on IE so I just need to place the cursor on the first line and then the info is automatically placed in and then I hit login. But even that is not fast enough. Thanks for your help. This may be intentionally SETUP on their end... Create a new account and shorten both the PWord and User name...One wonders how these others are so quick... Are they just watching the page all the time?HERE is an example of a site that offers what you might be need. The problem is, I don't know how much they will charge after the trial, or if the trial software is fully functional.
THIS is the search result I received when I searched in Google.
For Firefox there is an addon that refreshes the page every so often. Carbon has it. :p
As was said already, the servers sending the email mightn't be reliable. And even if they are not everyone is going to recieve the mail at the same time...One of many: www.updatepatrol.com

Glad to help. The only way that I can think to do this is to use a mail app.
