Solve : Error Console/Computer Screen?

Answer»

Can anyone help me sort out an issue with my MONITOR screen not displaying fully ? Approx 25 percent of the bottom part of my screen is not been used due to a variety of console errors . There is a red dash line running across lower portion of screen that says " menuitem" . Console error log has numerous references to

skipped to next declaration
unknown property filter
" " zoom
" " property - declaration dropped

yahoo.com reference is made & that is my start page . I use Firefox and have tried resetting xp - 2 to a previous date but none will take and there are no changes applied . Suggestions welcomed .Quote

Are you talking about your desktop, or Firefox page?Apologies: meant to say Firefox/Yahoo start page. If i try explorer i can't SEEM to get to Yahoo at all .It may be using a cached page that has errors in it.
Try re-setting your Firefox Start page to none...then login to Yahoo and if it appears normal re-set the page to your homepage...Those errors look to me like some Java problems. Do you have latest Java installed?I tried resetting start page to blank and then using firefox but it insists on LOADING up to yahoo anyway , with same problem . If i use ie i don't have the problem . I tried going to firefox forum for help but when registering it just sent me back to previous register screen; finally i give up . Will try another time . Java is 6 update 2 .. whatever that means .Update :

Have intalled latest versions of Java and Firefox , reset start page to blank & tried accessing yahoo again to reset but all to no avail . Still have same issues when using Firefox . IE loads FINE . Browsed firefox forum but material is much to technical for me so.. guess i switch browsers . Thks for the suggestions though .I DOUBT this is a FireFox issue...sounds like it is on Yahoo's end....do you have a link to the page ?Not sure what you mean by " link to the page " but i tried using Goggle as a start page from Firefox and i still have same issues . I am in process of quering Firefox issues through their web site and will report back to CH forum on results .

Thanks again for the suggestions

CDOFireFox Update :

My firefox problems with screen display have been solved . After trying a variety of things that had not worked i simply did a search function for firefox.exc and went back to a previous install . Apparently a more recent update had extensions that created the problem or that were incompatible with the java console . I appreciate all the suggestions though . It gave me a place to start .

Thanks Again
CDOI'm glad to see you happy
