Anyone play Eve-Online?

I'm going to the fanfest later on this year and just wondering if anyone on here plays it?

If you do:
How long have you been playing?
How many SP's do you have?
What Race did you decide upon?
Are you in your own CORP?
...and do you have any BPO's you can give me? Ok i aint GOT a clue as 2 what game this is , maybe it would be a good idea as to explain what its all about It would take too long to go into any sort of detail about the game, but a general description (as provided by a quick google search because I'm too lazy to type myself, heh):

EVE is a massive multiplayer online game (MMOG) set in a science-fiction based, persistent world. Players take the role of spaceship pilots seeking fame, fortune, and adventure in a huge, complex, exciting, and sometimes hostile galaxy.

Players begin by creating an in-game character equipped with a basic spaceship ready to explore the world. As they get acquainted with life in EVE, players can trade goods between systems or conduct other money-making ventures such as mining asteroids, transporting goods as a courier or EVEN cleaning up debris for recycling. Financial gains made through such activities can be used to upgrade the ship with weapons and equipment and also to develop the character by purchasing skill packs used for training him or her in various skills he will need to advance in the world of EVE.

When a player has mastered the basics of the game, aquired some money and equipment and advanced his or her character through basic skills, the possibilities become almost endless. Players who wish to explore peaceful paths may continue to upgrade their ships to bigger and better cargo vessels with high-end defenses, purchase advanced mining or research equipment and continue to develop their characters by specializing in their preferred skills. Takes a lot of time, but it truly is one of the best games I've played. << that last part was me, not google )

Ok i will take a look and i may sigh up...... I love games like that , at 1st there a bit dull but they get intresting You can get a 2 week trial account when you download the EVE client from their site.

After that it's a low monthly cost (lower if you sign up for 3 months/6months/a year)

But it is well worth it. Let me know how you get on if you do decide to join up.I am trying to find a new online game membership , my account on my old game just finshed so im taking a break from that... how much is it for like the year... i dont mind what currency you use 1 Month - 19.95 Euro
3 Months - 38.85 Euro
6 Months - 71.70 Euro
Year - 131.40 Euro

Be better off starting off with the monthly payment just to ease you into the game... If you end up becoming a member.

sh** THAT IS VERY PRICEY!!! I think world of war craft would be CHEAPER and thats saying something......

I may try it for a month and see how it goes but it better be bloody good lmaoI wouldn't know if it was pricey or not, it's the only subscription game I play, heh.

May as well take ADVANTAGE of the trial account then if you don't feel it's worth the money (or worth it at all) then you don't need to subscribe. Although, hopefully, you will sibscribe... There's just so much detail and stuff to do, I can lose entire weekends to it.

Never played WoW, heard it's decent but after a friend got me into Eve I just wouldn't have time lol.
I will 100% give it a free trial ...... im gunna download it tonight when im asleep lol and i will give it a shot , is it like a modern version of runscape , i would read but im so lazy today...
