Solve : extra firefox?

In my add remove programs there are 2 firefoxes one I am using now and the OLD one is still there. Should I remove it and it asks WHETHER I want to remove or leave the profile FILES with it.
You can, sure. The absolutely worst thing that will happen is that you'll have to reinstall the new version.Thank you for your HELP  YEP
