Solve : FAQ database Speeding up FF? |
|
Answer» Hi Dilbert, my task manager says that firefox.exe is using 127,000k in memory...and what's the big deal about it? Mine is using 193,000k at this moment, but yet, when I look at CPU column (which matters), it shows 0-2%. I see no issue here.Yikes, sarcasm. No not at all. Sorry I misinterpreted. The info Broni posted should ease your mind. Good Luck. Ok guys. Thanks. I am just trying to sort through things at the moment. I'll read up on the TOPIC and try not to bother you guys with trivial questions again. Sorry. For some reason I thought that I had done something incorrectly because I did not seem to get the same results as Dilbert did. That's all. If it not something to worry about, that's a good thing, and I'll move on.I tried this thing as well and it reduced my memory usage a bit. The more tabs/windows you have open, the more memory it will use up.It's possible the results in that FAQ were for an older version... At any rate it's still a performance tweak that works....and pretty soon, they're gonna have final version of FF3, which corrects memory usage problem. |
