Answer» Firefox3.6.2, which fixes a serious vulnerability, is AVAILABLE for download. One can, instead, use the incremental update (Help\|Check for Updates. I don't like to have automatic updates, whenever the program FEELS like it, so I modify that feature in Tools\|Options\|Advanced\|Update. Seems they addressed the memory release errors as WELL...back to being responsive.
