Answer» Hi I use Windows xp and 3.6.11 version of Firefox. When I try to connect to Google.com I get this MESSAGE below. Sometimes I can get through to Google, but not to read my gmail. Is there something wrong with Google or something wrong with my computer or server?
ou have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.google.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
NORMALLY, when you try to connect securely, sites will PRESENT trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this SITE's identity can't be verified.
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
Technical Details
www.google.com uses an INVALID security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed. The certificate is not valid for any server names.
