Answer» hi all,
i have been reading DIFFERENT games boards and i always see people talking about FPS(Frame Per Second) ..as i understood ,the FPS shows the ABILITY of your vedio card and its performance when playing PC games....the thing i want to ask about is how to perform this test over my Geforce4 MX4000 if i want to see its capability while playing a game?? also,i want to ask how can i know that my vedio card has a good FPS??
thanks.... Generally, the more expensive the card the higher the FPS will be...
You can use benchmarking utilities such as 3DMark 2001 provided by Futuremark or to view your FPS when watching a movie or playing a game you can use Fraps
ok..thanks for the tools..Raptor
but i have one more thing that i want to know... after i downloaded the programme and ran it ..i opened Far Cry BU Ubi...at the upper left of the screen there were numbers that change as i WALK through the game.. sometimes, they are 30 ,or 57...etc...does this denote to the number of frames(pictures in the game) drawn EVERY second ??...
thanks...Those are the Frames Per Second, yes.
The higher you set the quality of the game, the lower they will be. The lower your FPS the slower the game will seem to run.
