Answer» Does anyone know of any First Person Shooter games that also feature co-operative play mode? (Not deathmatch or Capture the Flag type stuff)I have dabbled with "Combat ARMS." It has a mode called "Fireteam" in which you and team mates take on terrorists.Doom, Quake, Quake 2, Duke Nukem 3d... they all have Cooperative (that is, more then one player essentially in what most would recognize as single-player mode).
Some of the newer source ports of these games are easier to SETUP for that, too.Can you tell us what games you already have and what kind of system you have so we know if you can play some of the newer games coming out.Years ago I lived & breathed Doom2 but when I look at it now it's sort of comical compared to more modern games. Here's a quick run down on what games are on my computer, any of these in co-op would be fine.

Poor old computer is getting a bit long in the tooth I guess. I'm sorry to tell you this but you are not going to play many of the newer games with that system. The cheapest upgrade would be to get more RAM and a modern video card. You may run into problems with your OS so if you can upgrade that I would recamend it.Quote from: Fed on September 21, 2009, 01:36:37 AMYears ago I lived & breathed Doom2 but when I look at it now it's sort of comical compared to more modern games.
some of the source ports MODERNIZE it pretty well; 3-d models and high-res textures, for example.
Now I'm scratching around for a co-op MOD to use on one of my existing games. I'll report any success.
