I recently cleaned out my WHOLE laptop.

I used system RESTORE, and got rid of all the crap that Toshiba installed on my laptop. I unfortunately also uninstalled the Mccafe anti VIRUS and firewall because of it becoming a nuisance.

On the downside NO GAMES will work on my laptop. I've TRIED uninstalling and reinstalling. EVERYTHING you can think of.

Any help???

OH and I can't hibernate my laptop either. You installed using the reinstall disk Toshiba provided?

You NEED antivirus and firewall. So just get either AVG or AVAST (you can get freeware version for both) then get Comodo firewall (also free)

How did you do this, using System Restore?i got it to work.

Just used the reinstall CD that toshiba gave to me, and now everything works well. Its also a lot.Thank you for posting back glad everything works. Most manufacturers will give you their own system restore (separate from windows itself). Maybe a CD or for compaq, you have to run the system restore setup before window loads.
