Solve : Gears of War....HELP...?

I ran GoW (version 1) on my computer and all was fine.Because of my home-studio I DECIDED to re-format my entire hard-drive.Now when I try to re-install GoW it won`t run and gives a error.I thought it must be a security mesure and I tried everything I could think of.
I tried to get help from the manufacturer but that did not work.I think the game is "to OLD" to PROVIDE help.
If anybody knows what to do please help me.

With What OP SYS Did You Formatted With Windows Vista,service pack II.I`ll re-install (again ) and see what the error MESSAGE is.I`ll get back to you.
I really hope you can help,I wasn`t even half way in the game.

Before Windows Vista Was There An Other OP ?

If Yes,
It Might Be XP Sp3 (Coz GOW Doesnt Run On Other Version)

Well Reinstall Game And See
