Solve : Getting rid of IE "Links" tab permanently!?

Answer» How can I PERMANENTLY get rid of the "Links" link in Internet EXPLORER. It comes standard with IE as a preset link, and I've deleted it about 100 times or more, and it keeps reappearing. How can I make it go away?!!

Thanks though.I'm fairly sure Links is a standard part of IE. That's why it keeps reappearing when you try to delete it. If you don't want to see it, just right click on an empty part of your IE toolbar area and uncheck Links.Sorry, I should have been more specific! The Links thing seems to be standard with IE. I'm trying to permanently deleting it from my Favorites list. I've tried and it keeps coming back.

BTW, I removed my links folder an hour or so ago via Organize Favorites & it hasn't come back yet even after re-starting IE. (I haven't re-booted yet)THANK you for that link, that seems to have resolved the problem (keep your fingers crossed!) Thanks again! It also "removed" MESSENGER too!
Completely? Or just the shortcut?Update, my 'links' didn't come back after a re-boot. UPDATE: My LINKS came back this morning, go figure. :-? Don't toy with Microsoft! the solution is very simple...........

The REASON why the links "tab" keeps coming back because the links FOLDER is conected directly to the Links TOOLBAR got it?!
