Solve : Good cooperative play PC game?

Answer»

My wife and I have been having a lot of fun playing Lego Batman for the PC together, but we will be finishing the game soon. What other PC games are out there that are somewhat family friendly (not FPS) that can be played cooperatively? I have been trying google searches, etc. but all of the lists are either really long or really short. Not one of the lists mentioned Lego Batman as a PC game either, so I imagine there must be other games geared towards CONSOLES that have been released for the PC as WELL that are not listed.

Thanks for any suggestions. You could try MMORPGs?

Star Trek Online (my current one)
WORLD of Warcraft (Still have an active account)
EVE (EWWWWWW)
Thinks like that?

You could also try Strategy games like the Total WAR series. Napoleon Total War now offers co-op campaign mode which makes for a very long game.

Depends what type of games you likeLike I said, I am interested in family-friendly games, so anything with an "M" rating is out of the question. Also, it has to be something that two players can play on the same computer at the same time. It could be split-screen, or shared screen, but I am not interested in online games. Just the two of us.Hmmmm, best bet would be a Nintendo Wii although I hate them myself. Trying to think of any games that are split screen co-op. Only one that comes to kind is castle crashers, available on xbox store.
Co-op has been pretty phased out since online gaming is more the norm now I'm afraid.Battlezone 2

It's a future fighting style game.

It's a bit older but still fun.

RTS + First/Third person Views.

Its not too bad, I dont think your wife might really mind.Quote from: WillNeedsHelpFast on March 10, 2010, 07:50:15 PM

Note:
1. he wanted a game that can be played by two players at once
2. he wanted a game that was family friendly (if it involves KILLING people with guns it is not considered family friendly by today's standards)Speaking of Lego games, have you two tried the Lego Star Wars games? My girlfriend and I play that sometimes. I don't know how Lego Batman works, but in Star Wars you can play 2 players simultaneously and cooperatively. Great fun. But as far as PC games go, cooperative, family-friendly games are rare anymore. As mentioned, the Wii has quite a few that fit this category, but that would mean buying a whole new thing and I don't know how crazy you (or your wife) would be about that.Rayman Arena
LEGO RACER
Robot Arena
Toon Golf
Pinball games
Paintball games

just to name a few.....

Also, check the bargin bins at software stores
