Solve : Google Chrome very slow?

Answer»

I moved over to Google Chrome about a year or so ago after having been recommended to use it as it is faster etc.
At first the browser seemed very nice and was in fact faster.
However, over the past month or so it has slowed down considerably to such an extent that it's taking 10-15 seconds (and often much longer) to load a page.
I've run CCleaner, Super antispyware, malwarebytes as well as AVG anti virus but this doesn't SEEM to have helped.
I've given up and gone back to IE which is now working much faster and at an almost acceptable speed.
I'm wondering why Chrome deteriorated so drastically?
I'm using an HP laptop with an AMD II P320 Dual-core, 3GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.Have you uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome to see if it fixes the issue?

For the fact that IE is faster than Chrome, it looks like its not an issue with bandwidth/your internet speed. Although if your curious as to the speed you can always run www.speedtest.net and get figures on your internet speed which is pretty realistic with exception to some ISP's that allow full bandwidth for SITES that perform loopback testing, and then throttle your access to other sites which can confuse some people as to why a connection seems slow when speed testing shows it as FAST, as well as the host of where ever your connection to may throttle or not have enough bandwidth with all the TRAFFIC that is hitting it, or due to location on the other side of the planet you get large latency due to the many hops to transmit the DATA between the server and your own computer.Stop ressurecting old Topics.
