Solve : Google chrome will not open profile?

I have DOWNLOAD the latest version but I get this message OS is Windows 7 32 bit
"Your profile can not be used because it is a new version of Google chrome.
Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory or use a newer version of Chrome."
As I said I have the latest version. Anyone know how to overcome this? Ojas
exactly what "profile" is this?this is an old topic, yes. But if anyone else is still wondering ... you uninstall Google Chrome.

Then you go to (if you're using vista, but I expect win7 to be same or similar location) C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\ (where you REPLACE UserName with your actual account name), and delete the Chrome folder (if it still exists)

Then, you just reinstall Chrome and it should be ok again. This is how I got it to work on my vista machine.

It's been two weeks and the OP has not replied back. So I start to CONSIDER topics like this starting to get 'old' unless OP revives it or it gets revived by SOMEONE else that makes this topic worthwhile to look at again.
