Solve : Google (toolbar) search history in IE8?

I cannot TURN off my search suggestions in Google (toolbar) IE8.
In the "Manage addons" then "Search Providers" then "Google" the feature "Search Suggestions", "disable suggestions" is greyed out.

I don't like to have search suggestions coming up when I do a search.

Any suggestions how i can solve this. Thanks.
