Solve : have removed IE 7 now getting internal error messages?

I have been having problems with internet explorer 7 so i have removed it and am now using firefox on a laptop with windows XP media. When i try to open games that i have downloaded from shockwave.com I get an error message that says the server has encountered an internal error (12) and to try again later. pls helpQuote

How? Reverted to VER. 6?If you deleted it this may be the source of your troubles.
Please state exactly what steps you TOOK...i WENT to my control panel and removed it prior to that i had installed the firefox campus editionYou can't totally remove IE7 through Add\Remove. If you go that way, it only REVERTS to any previous version of IE installed on your computer.
What version of IE do you have now listed in Add\Remove?
