Answer» I am trying to install the old X-Com Apocalypse game. When I try to install the game it says I can't because "files/buffers" has to be at least "20/20" but it is detecting my SYSTEM as having "40/0." The game says I should modify the "files=X" and "buffer=X" LINES in config.sys. I tried do that (and rebooted), but I'm still ENCOUNTERING the same problem. If someone COULD help I would greatly appreciate it. I am running Windows XP Home Ver. 5.1.2600.X-Com Apocalypse doesn't like Windows XP. But speaking of it, I was just playing it a couple of weeks ago on XP. The best way to get it running is to use DOSBox, a DOS emulator. |
