Great old game, but it seems to have a problem with DirectX 10. Does anyone know of a way to bypass or patch this problem?

Just a pre-flame to anyone that posts what pc specs: Heroes of MIGHT and Magic 3, Vista, DX10 & that's all that's relevant at this time.I don't think it's possible. I remember hearing a problem like this a while back.

I think microsoft still hasent done anything.What is the actual problem?The game just fails to start, it installs in compatibility mode though. It mentions mutiple TIMES that it's not happy about DX10.DirectX9 is installed on Windows Vista, but it's not the same version of DX9 that's used in earlier versions of Windows if I recall correctly.
Have you tried UNINSTALLING and reinstalling the game?
That's the only thing I can think of really, sorry.
