Answer» I used to be able to play GAMES like garrys mod or counter strike on my computer just fine. However lately the only game that uses the hl2.exe that is working is the original Half Life 2 game. All other games like tf2, or garrysmod, or zombie panic crash at the "preparing to LOAD (gamename)" screen. I've tried several of the methods mentioned to deal with this INCLUDING CONFIGURING my DEP, TURNING on compatability mode, running the program as administrator, and clearing it with my firewall, and setting dx level to 88 but nothing seems to be working. |
