Answer» i can play homm3. but when i install any of the expansions or chronicles when i go to play the load screen comes up and every thing freezes. this computer used to play all these games. Windows 98 SE--tried SHUTTING down everything but systray. uninstall-reinstall. direct x UPGRADE thanx for any helpis your copy of homm3 legit?all copies are legit-patches don't help, i'm using a usb cd burner. but everything else works. including MIGHT and MAGIC 6and 7 and homm3. but none of the expansions will load. same with chronicles. they will install. this is driving me nuts. any ideas?fixed my cd drive-disconnected the usb cd drive-re-installed games- everything works fine now. thanx everyone-happy hunting-tikiusSome games from Win95 & 98 won't work properly from USB drives. They'll install fine, but when you go to run them they won't work. This may be the case.
