Solve : how can i install fedora12 on xp??

Answer»

i have xp sp2 on C drive. i have I drive 10 GB. i want to install fedora on I drive. i created root-2000mb, boot-3000mb, home-1230mb,var-500mb, and swap-3000mb. but i unable to install fedora12. it shows not enough SPACE. plz help.A quick Google revealed that a FRESH install of Fedora 13 is around 9GB (which shouldn't be that much more than 12). Chances are you aren't partitioning your drive in a manner that gives it enough room to install the packages and what-have-you.

3000MB (3GB) is completely unnecessary for /boot. Try TAKING one ZERO off the end of that and reallocate that space to root.

Depending on how much RAM is installed on your machine, 3GB for swap may be too much as well. Try 2GB and give the rest to root.
