Answer» How can I live with GRUBB? I did a Google on that and got offers to buy a book by somebody named GRUBB who lived somewhere OH NO! Do I have to read a WHOLE BOOK I installed Ubuntu 8.10 on my WINDOWS 2000 machine and GRUBB put it at the bottom of the boot menu. I would like iWIN 2K to be at the top, or at least be the default. Please, I am so arid. Been playing with Linux off and on for years, but the GRBB stuff is new to me. I learned on LILO. But I don't want to rewrite the boot thing with LILO. It might goof up.It can do that. I know. What is the EASY way to change the default in GRUBB? I don't remember about GRUBB though you should be able to change the order in Linux. otherwise load up in windows and download easyBCD (that's a direct link). that will enable you to manage your boot options.
FBLearning to spell it properly might be a start. Then you can type "grub tutorial" into Google and have some chance of finding something USEFUL. Ash. Can't spiel it, can't say it, can't find it! I am so embarrassed. It was so much easier with Lilo. And I can spelt it and say it. I never came in contact with LILO. Happy with GRUB and PUPPY LINUX.Edit the file /boot/grub/menu.lst, find the section that DEALS with your Windows install, and move it above the rest of the boot entries.Quote Edit the file /boot/grub/menu.lst, Thanks, I will try that.
