I don't understand your problem.He's talking about the computer game, Yuri's Revenge, the expansion pack of Red Alert 2, MADE in 2000 and 2001, respectively. I don't know how to set the network settings either, because it never worked. I'd like to note that I have always just used the Internet option to connect and play with friends, in a private room. Networking over a LAN didn't seem worth the trouble to me. Anyway, here's the instructions (Off of another forum): How to set up LAN for Yuri's Revenge 1. In Windows, goto start, run, typ cmd, hit ok. 2. In the command window that opens up type in ipconfig /all, hit return or Enter. 3. Write down the number for physical address. This will be 12 digits. MINE looks like this: 00-11-2f-c2-54-46 4. Type Exit & hit Return or Enter 5. Run Yuri's Revenge. From the Main Menu goto Options, then to Netork. Make sure it says IPX Options in the upper right corner. (If not, you will have to add this to your network settings). 6. Under LAN Settings, look for the drop down menu for Network Card. 7. In this menu choose the Address that you wrote down from the Command Window previously. 8. Hit OK, then Main Menu, then start your LAN Network game. It should now work, & everyone should show up in the 'Lobby'. How to install IPX 1. In Windows click on Start, Right Click 'My Network Places', then PROPERTIES. 2. Right Click 'Local Area Connectin', then Properties. 3. Click on Install 4. Click on Protocol, then ADD 5. Then Choose the NetBui/IPX & OK. 6. Let it finish insstalling (a few seconds or so). 7. Click OK & exit Local Area Connection Properties. Done |
