I am using FF2 and WinXp Media Center I have avast cos its free..i just use FFI have my doubts about this being RELATED to an infection, but just in case, you should update Avast and scan with it in Safe Mode. Also, make sure your Java and Windows are up to date.List all the protection apps you currently have... If it's only Avast you NEED some beefing up.
