Solve : I cant install Linux H-E-L-P!!!!? |
Answer» Hi.. I'm having some problems what i install Linux Redhat 9... the problem is... I have the cd's and i put in cd one and i set the BIOS settings for the boot from the cd rom and i have only one cd rom... After it restarts it reads the cd.. drive and then it stops and it loads the WINDOWS... I dont know what to do.. Should i format my hardrive.. and do it that WAY.. I'm not sure that it will chage SOMETHING... It worked before.. I dont remeber how... But i need some help... Thanks...Do you have free space on that drive to install? Does it install? Are you installing the boot manager? If so, you have to remove the CD when it reboots.Sounds like a problem with the CD. Are you sure it has burnt correctly? And are you sure that the CD you're using is intended to be bootable? If in doubt you can try the boot floppies for RedHat. See the DOCUMENTATION on CD1 about this.Thanks...I used the floppys to boot the comp into redhat and it installed it...it Works... Thanks for help. | |
