Answer» I tried to erase the OS off of my laptop and install Mandrake Linux on it. I used to have Windows 98, but now I don't have either. Everytime I boot my computer up, it comes up with the message that it cannot FIND an operating system. If I can get into the BIOS, then I can SOLVE this problem with ease, but I can't even do that. The second I hit that power button, it tells me that it can't find an operating system. Even if I have the Linux boot disk in the CD drive, it won't do anything. I just got this laptop from a friend and I would hate for it to go to waste. Please help me!Double posting CONFUSES THINGS.
