Solve : IE 7 is moving very slow?

Answer»

I run IE 7 on Windows XP and I am on DSL on my desktop. For some reason every TIME I log on to IE 7 it takes 30 seconds to a MINUTE for each page to load. At the same time my laptop at the house only takes 5 seconds or less to load each page so I know it is not the Internet provider. Seven days ago it stormed real bad and my machine lost power acouple of times. Could this have affected my system? The guys at Circuit City TELL me that I should back everything up and use my recovery CD. But surely there has to be a better way than that to fix my problem. What about the system restore?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Welcome aboard

System Restore would be worth to try. Pick up the earliest date.Do you have another browser? If so, does it run slowly too?Last night I RAN Mozilla Firefox and my internet moved quicker than ever. I guess there is just a problem with IE 7. I ran some spyware, ANTIVIRUS programs and they found nothing. Maybe I should just uninstall IE 7.Cannot be un-installed without major surgery as it is directly tied to the OS...
You can however just quit using it altogether.

The only real use it has is for Windows updates anyways...Quote

Forget about updates through IE, as well. Use Firefox + WindizUpdate (http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/)...and on a side note...
I'm really tired of all those posts about IE problems.
There was, and there is something wrong with that crappy browser, and that's it.Check out this site Spam Link Removed
