i RAN microsoft update....then i started having problems with IE7....INTERNET connection is fine...i can send/receive emails...and i can go to https sites....but when i try to go to http sites, it won't CONNECT to the website....i either get "IE cannot view this web page" (when i select a http site from my favorites)....or "address invalid" (when i type something in...i.e. "yahoo.com"....any suggestions?....thanks...Welcome to the forum.

Are we talking about all sites? Or just some? Can you verify that you can only visit secure sites?i can view secure sites (i.e. "https" sites)....but i CANNOT view unsecure sites (i.e. "http" sites)....Do you use WINDOWS Firewall? If not, what firewall do you use? Also, what antivirus protection have you?i do not use windows firewall....norton anti-virus...using pc-doctor for spyware....everything was fine...until i installed a couple of things from windows update....i re-started, then this happened...Can you do a system restore, just to make sure of this? Just restore to the day before the updates.tried that....a couple of times...different previous dates....no luck...Okay.......Can you try Firefox? Here is the Download Link.
Try downloading it onto another PC and transfer it to this PC with a CD/Flash Drive. To be honest, I'd recommend you keep Firefox ANYWAY. thanks...i'll try that....and post my results....thanks....
