I also have this yellow information bar stating Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting. Is this a dell computer?
If so, reboot the computer and as soon as you see the first screen, press the "F12" key. It should then bring up a menu ASKING what you want to boot.
Choose "Dell diagnostics" and walk through the memory diagnostics by simply double clicking on each memory test.
Tell us if it passes or fails each test.what? this is not a basic issue. IE8 has been haveing issue and I dont know that they been resolved, I would stick with 7. There pushing for 8 dont mean you have to take it.
