Answer» I run the diagnostic and it states PROXY SERVER settings are wrong. What are the norm proxy settings and is their a option to REPAIR IE8.Tools/Options/Connections/Lan Settings...uncheck Use Proxy...close down and re-boot... PS You may be infected.Thank You. I will also run a scan.No problem... It may be worth a trip to Our VIRUS and Malware section and follow the info for posting your logs... This is a low level infection...however it's designed to not only block Windows Updates but also blocks many A/V protection apps from updating as well as blocking any online scanners...
