Solve : IE freezes? |
|
Answer» Ok I've only noticed this with internet explorer. I have at&t yahoo browser, with IE 7. For about a month or so I've had the problem that when i'm typing, every once in awhile it will just stop typing like it froze. My mouse will still work but nothing will type for a couple of seconds. Then it will go back to normal. I have XP professional SP2. 2 gigs of ram. I've just started using firefox and I have not had the problem. I just don't know too much about firefox and I had everything set up the way I liked it in IE 7 so I would like to keep that working. well when I go to system tools, I don't have that optionAre you SURE, it's IE7, not IE6?when I go to about browser it says AT&T Yahoo! Browser Product Version: 5.05.02.409 File Version: 2008.08.18.01 AT&T Yahoo! Version 7.00-000-ACIX Internet Explorer: 7.0.5730.13 So I assume yes it's IE7 Anyways I went and reset my browser and it went back to the orginal way before there were add ons. It is still doing it.DLoad and install FireFox. Travel to your Yahoo home page. In FireFox clik on Tools/Options ...in the first page choose "use current page" under Homepage... Never look back.yeah I've been using firefox off and on and I figured if I couldn't figure this Internet explorer thing out, I would go completely to firefox. I liked having the multiple tabs open in IE, but I haven't figured out if firefox can do it yet. This is the first problem I've had with IE so I like it.Firefox has been having tabs built in for a long time. Plus hundreds of other features.I know I just don't know how to use it yet. I'm thinking my best bet would be to switch over to firefox. Can you have multiple tabs at start up on firefox? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Multiple+tabs+open+when+starting+FirefoxWow you are a mastermind. Can I delete yahoo from my computer even though their my internet provider? I have all kinds of questions about my processes in the task manager. I have 87 running and I think that's a lot. I've looked at websites to see which I could get rid of and I'm just afraid/lost on what to do. I should probably search first and start another topic for this I guess, although I'm hijacking my own thread.Leave it on...just delete the Desktop shortcut. Yes start another Topic...Post a HijackThis log for us to see the services...As patio said, we can check for any malicious entries in HJT, but not all services are listed there. Your best bet is to install ServiWin: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/serviwin.html The above program will allow you to print out a list of all of your services. With that list, go to BlackViper SITE: http://www.blackviper.com/, and compare your list to his "Safe" list. |
