Answer» On IE6. I cannot display any webpages, when entering address words in the address bar. As it comes up with page cannot be displayed, check your INTERNET connection. It will only display a page .if I enter an IP number for EXAMPLE if enter 216.239.37.99 in the adress bar Google comes up but I cannot do any more surfing. I'm using a NTL broadband LAN connection.Check for errors in Start>Settings>Control Panel>Admin Tools>Event Viewer Check for ENTRIES in your hosts file. Scan for viruses &AMP; spyware.What happens if you ping for example 216.239.37.99 in the cmd prompt...404 error/? check FIREWALL options....enable cookies?Did you reconfigure your DNS settings? You may wish to scan for spyware, viruses and trojan horses.
