Solve : IE7 No "Lock" Icon for https Sites?

Answer»

I very seldom use IE but was helping my wife figure out what Windows Live is. She WENT to http://home.live.com/ in FF3 and GOT a security certificate warning when she clicked on "Sign Up", so I had her go to the site with IE. IE7 connected with "https" in the address bar, but, there was no lock symbol on the bottom. Tried a couple other secure SITES - no lock symbol.

Does IE7 not use the lock symbol?

Thanks. As far as I KNOW, IE7 only shows the lock icon on the right side of the address bar. You can click on it to view the certificate. QUOTE from: kpac on August 04, 2008, 03:06:56 PM

Thanks, kpac, I just noticed that and was coming back to edit my post...duh! LOL!

No harm done. Someone will get use from it.
