Then DOWNLOAD & run memtest86, you will need a blank floppy. Our computers at school do that a lot. Ironically they're Dells! It could be faulty memory like Fed said. Or it could be a faulty hard drive using the virtual memory. Do you leave this computer on a lot? How long have you had it? I recommend running check disk. To see how many errors are on it.Fed.... ran the ewido and the panda...ewido found nothing panda found some spyware and hacker tools I removed them. I could not use the memtest86 cause my flopy drive seems to be not working even tho tne device manager says it is and my floppy disk is now stuck ( a whole other problem.. any advice on that?) but I did download and run mem test and it shows nothing and I am still getting the error and no I do not leave the computer on and I have had it for about a little over 2 years bought it brand new from Dell, and how do I run check disk sorry to be so dumb but there you go some of us are not real computer literate. Any help appriciated thanks Fed for the tips.Download, unzip, install and run Everest Home Edition
