Every time I hit the key bet_een q and e, my computer launches _indo_s Media Player and AOL.com (of _hich I am not a user). It does not matter if I am on the internet, using MICROSOFT _ord or QUICKBOOKS !! It then knocks me out of the program I am using!! I have Norton Anti-Virus and have run a system scan -- resulting in no viruses detected. Does ANYONE kno_ _hat my problem might be and ho_ to fix it Remove the key from the keyboard and turn it upside down...then put it back on the keyboard...

Unfortunately that will result in all of your "w's" looking like "m's"...

Sorry...couldn't RESIST... *censored*... I GUESS THOSE KEYS ARE _ORKING!!!!!!!!!!! Don't be such a party pooper...I was just kidding for crying out loud.

Why don't you give us a little more info...like...

When did this start happening?

What operating system are you using?

What have you tried to fix it?

If available...have you tried System Restore to a date prior to this happening?

How about BOOTING into Safe Mode and tryig it there...same problem?Here's something you can try...

Right click on the shortcut that opens Media Player...select Properties.

Is there anything in the shortcut key box? If so, re-enter the key that was opening the program (in this case "w", without the quotes). Click Apply and then close that window.

Reopen the Properties window for the Media Player shortcut and then delete the shortcut key...then click Apply.

Do the same as above for your AOL.com shortcut.


Keep us posted...also... whay you t_ype like t_athe's typing like that because his W key was launching media player. Pay attention.Tried a new keyboard ?
