Answer» Hi guys Problem: Slow Page rendering Can anybody explain it a LITTLE more, it only gives you a link to download the file. But i am interested to know a bit more. Windows xp pro sp3 Explained here: http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=2448 and here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q183110 (M$ link concerns IE 6, but you GOT the idea). Hey thanks broni, for those links , interesting, might give them a try. You may also check this one: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/31/tcp-z-free-download-half-open-tcpip-memory-patcher-for-x86-and-x64-windows-7-vista-and-xp/ It doesn't apply to Vista anymore, since with one of the updates, M$ DROPPED the limit. I have just added these to the REGISTRY in xp.., but would this work in vista , i've got a bit confused now , with "updates dropped the limit" "MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010 "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000010 So if i was to try TCP-Z Free Download (Half Open TCP/IP Memory Patcher for x86 and x64 Windows 7, Vista and XP) Would i have to delete these reg enteries in xpIn your first post, you said: Quote Windows xp pro sp3so this is what my advice was for. As for Vista, if you updates are current, you don't need any TCP/IP patch, because half-open connections are not limited anymore. Also, in Vista "MaxConnections" are already set to 10. Sorry i confused myself there. got it now Quote Also, in Vista "MaxConnections" are already set to 10. If i navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet settings In vista, these DWORD values are not there. MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010 "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000010 I had to add those in xp I am not sure if this is the same path for Vista, but would i have to do the same in vista I have those entries in Vista, but it's possible, I added them and I simply don't remember. You can safely add them. Quote from: Broni on November 26, 2009, 09:17:29 PM I have those entries in Vista, but it's possible, I added them and I simply don't remember. OK broni, just added them . Thanks.... Sure thing Quote Also, in Vista "MaxConnections" are already set to 10. Hi broni, just wonderd what the 16 is in brackets 00000010 (16)No clue |
