Solve : installing OSCAR CLUSTER?

HELLO,

I am trying to install OSCAR on fedora core 3. I COPIED to root/oscar directory when i try to unpack the installation,
using the command

tar -zxvf /root/oscar/oscar-4.2.tar.gz

i get the error

gzip: stdin: UNEXPECTED end of file
tar: child returned status 1
tar: error EXIT delayed from previous errors
